Brown Rice Pilaf
The “pilaf” method refers to the toasting of the kernels before adding seasoned liquid to be absorbed. This creates a no hassle side that is easy on the mouth and nutritious as well.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Butter Unsalted
- 1 cup Brown Rice
- 1 Garlic Clove Minced
- 1 Onion Small; Diced
- 1 Celery Stalk Small; Diced
- 1 Carrot Small; Peeled; Diced
- 2 cups Water
Instructions

Melt butter in small saucepan. Add rice and toast for 5 minutes.

Add in onion, celery, carrot, and garlic and cook for 1 minute longer.

Add water and bring to a boil.

Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Fluff with a fork.
