Instructions

In large sauté pan, cook off ground beef until fully cooked. Using a fork, break down the meat into a very fine texture.

Add enough water to cover meat. Add in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper.

Allow to simmer for 30 minutes letting the water evaporate. Add enough water to cover meat a second time and, again, simmer slowly until water evaporates, leaving about ½ cup of liquid in the bottom of the pan.
